In Memory of Myrtle Virginia Bryant – A Nieces Journey to Recovery from Long Covid and Grieving Her Beloved Aunt

From the onset of June 26, 2020, my life as a healthy, vibrant, and outgoing 50 year old dramatically changed after contracting COVID-19

My wonderful Uncle Stu died from Covid complications in December of 2020, right before Christmas, at the age of 79.

My entire family tested positive in August 2020. My husband was in and out of the emergency room

I’m a 40 yr old covid longhauler suffering with the aftermath from covid 19 since early July 2020.

November 2021, around Thanksgiving Day I was home alone, tired. My family decided to spend the holidays alone

Contracted Covid-19 late March and went in the hospital on the 31st, I almost lost my life and was placed on life support.

Our daddy, Louis Luiken, passed away from Covid-19 on November 2, 2020 at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames, Iowa.

Today, March 16, 2021 is my one year anniversary of Covid-19. It is the day that changed my forever.

My husband was placed in memory care February 1st 2020 in a city nearby and I am in assisted living.

My active, healthy, 78 year old father with zero pre-existing conditions tested positive for COVID-19 about a week
