In Memory of Jo-Anne Rier – A Woman Whose Very Presence Made the World a Better Place

Jo-Anne had just passed her 90th birthday when she was taken by Covid-19. She was survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Robert, her children David, Richard and Lynn, by the memory of her son Stephen, by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was a loving, warm and gentle presence in all of our lives and made the world a better place by her presence.

In Memory of David Post – A Loving Dad Known for His “Contagious Laughter”

My dad was a loving husband of 57 years, father and grandfather. He was taken way too soon, just prior to his 80th birthday, from this awful virus. He was still actively working as a CPA for clients of 30+ years. We miss him dearly especially his contagious laughter/dry sense of humor and smile 🙁

In Memory of Frederick Harris – A “Vibrant” Father Who Left Without a Goodbye

My dad was a vibrant, happy, kind man. He was extremely well known and the fact that this virus took him from so many has been beyond devastating. It took only 5 days. I was unable to be with him, and continue to not have closure in any way (no funeral yet). This virus took him away and I have been robbed so many life moments that I wish he could have been a part of. The grief is sometimes beyond my control. He should still be here, and if it wasn’t for this virus, he would be. I miss him terribly, and so do many others.

In memory of Lois Rose Hamilton – A Mother Who Deserved So Much More

I received a call from the nursing home telling me that my mom had a runny nose, what I didn’t know was that 5 days later she would take her last breath, alone without her loving family and confined to a COVID Unit in the nursing home that supposedly was doing everything to prevent this virus from getting to their residents. There were no meds they could give her to help her fight this virus they said only the comfort of morphine would be given, her loving family informed we could not visit. We received no closure as she was taken under strict COVID measures to the funeral home, then told we had to cold storage the body and a service would be from a distance and we could not touch the body. How could I never see and touch my loving mother again…my memories are all I have and due to travel restrictions, I have yet to bury her cremated remains. She deserved so much more then this and I pray with all my heart that we find a vaccine that will prevent further deaths.
