On Jan. 5, Braden lost his chance to brighten other’s days. He died from complications associated with MIS-C, a rare multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children linked to Covid-19, at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He was 15. Braden’s video production teacher, Luke Golden, said the 15-year-old was “one of the kindest and most generous students I’ve taught in my career.” “The films he made in my class were always made with his unique spark of joy. He was an original voice that was not given a chance to speak in this life,” Golden said. “I grieve for his family and the beautiful potential that was never realized.”
