Mom had underlying health issues, had a stroke in May and was hospitalized. She went to a nursing home rehab for about 2 months and she contracted Covid-19 from there. She was already in process of being discharged, getting better and they sent her home to isolate. She developed more complications from Covid-19 and was in and out of the hospital. It started with shortness of breathe, then pneumonia, a few more small TIAs, loss of appetite and then came the bleeding stomach ulcers. Doctors did multiple surgeries to try stop the bleeding, but could not. Thankfully, since before all the complications, she was able to come home for “nature to take its course.” Doctors only let her because all our family was already in isolation and quarantining. We lost her mid-day Saturday 08/29 when no one was looking.
