My wonderful Uncle Stu died from Covid complications in December of 2020, right before Christmas, at the age of 79. He was a kind, funny, loving man with a quick wit and endless stories. He was married almost 50 years to his wife Karen, and had 2 daughters. He was my mom’s younger brother and they were incredibly close. We have not been able to have a memorial for him but we are finally getting together in September to celebrate his life. His death was swift and sudden and it felt like the floor dropped out from beneath our family. People who have not been impacted by Covid just don’t get it. I am so happy to see this wonderful organization and event being planned in honor of all of us who are grieving.
