Today, March 16, 2021 is my one year anniversary of Covid-19. It is the day that changed my forever. I have long Covid-19. I have weeks that I still cannot breathe. At the beginning of 2021, my husband was forced to resign as senior pastor of our church because I had not attended in-person services in months nor would he authorize people attending services without masks or social distancing. We have received no support as people politicized the virus. I’ve been screamed and yelled at and told it is just anxiety. Our faith in God has been questioned. I feel like a Vietnam veteran coming home wounded from my service.
