I contracted Covid-19 in January 2021. As of October 2021, I continue to suffer from EXTREME fatigue, severe chest/heart pain, muscle ache and cognitive dysfunction. I am a long-hauler. Before I became ill, I was an athlete—cycling, swimming, running, rowing. Now I struggle to complete short walks. I have tried every treatment and nothing has worked. I was supposed to start a new job but couldn’t because I’m too sick to work. I have a one-year-old son that I’m too tired to play with. My wife is pregnant. My emotional well-being has cratered. Our family is devastated and terrified. We are desperate for help. I don’t want emotional support. I don’t want to be told “You’re not alone.” I want to recover. I want my life back.
