I contracted Covid19 at the beginning of the Pandemic when no one knew what to do about it. People were dying all around us and I thought I was about t be included in that number. March 24, 2020 was a day that I never want to relive again, this is the day I went into the emergency room and was told I have Covid19 and we have to intubate you. Long story short I went through a month and half long journey. I was placed on Ecmo and had several blood transfusions. My life has never been the same since. I live in fear of catching it again or my kids. As of today I still have scarring on my lungs as well as other lingering effects from Covid19. I try daily to keep myself safe and I cringe at the fact of people not wearing a mask in my presence.
